The building is part of the collection
The Eastern Hill fire station opened in 1893 as the headquarters of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade.
Today it holds more than 10,000 fire-related items, one of the largest collections of firefighting memorabilia in Australia, cared for by volunteers from Fire Rescue Victoria, the CFA and other services.
